Lifelong Learning – a continuous learning process
Lifelong Learning trend is not accidentally at the top position in the rating of trends in modern educational technology. In today’s environment, it has already become a necessity. We live in a time of rapid change. Technology is changing, robotics is introduced into many areas of human activity, new information is constantly emerging, and the demand for unusual specialties is growing. In order to provide the necessary level of competence, a modern person must constantly learn.

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
This trend is inextricably linked with the previous one. Massive open online courses successfully accomplish two tasks:

Provide access to relevant knowledge to a wide range of people.
Create conditions for open and interactive education.
Learning platforms that provide access to courses from the world’s most famous universities are present not only abroad, but also in the Russian Federation.

Adaptive Education
Today, this trend in the development of educational technology is gaining popularity in all countries of the world. Even in ancient times, teachers said that the learning process should be adapted to the student. Effective realization of this idea became possible with the development of artificial intelligence.

Using adaptive systems, it is possible to create personalized learning programs, taking into account cognitive capabilities of the student, his peculiarities of perception and the existing level of training. Modern adaptive learning technologies still have some limitations. For example, they do not work in the sphere of humanitarian knowledge and in those fields of science where regular changes take place.

But there is a high probability that such limitations will be removed in the near future as a result of further development of educational technologies.

Integral Approach
The integral approach in the educational process is associated with learning at the intersection of different disciplines. To illustrate, consider the example of classical medicine, which treats disease as physical abnormalities that are treated with drugs and surgery.

In the integral approach, diseases are viewed not only in the context of physical ailments, but also from the perspective of the psychological state of the patient, relationships within the family and society, and alternative therapies. In order for the process of education to produce in-demand specialists, students must develop interdisciplinary knowledge that allows them to study objects from all angles.
